Bank Name Modification
Farmington Savings Bank has filed an application to modify its name to Farmington Bank with the State of Connecticut Department of Banking commissioner.
The new name, pending approvals, is expected to be effective in October.
“The subtle name change preserves our 158-year legacy as a Connecticut bank based in Farmington as well as reflects our modern state as a diversified consumer and commercial bank,” said John J. Patrick, Jr., Farmington Savings Bank chairman, president and CEO.
The name reflects the bank’s growth strategy announced earlier this year. It includes a new 53,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Farmington, an expanded senior leadership team and the addition of Government Banking and Cash Management Services to its business portfolio.
It’s important to note that while the name will be modified, the fundamental principles of the bank will remain the same. The bank’s mission is to be a high-performing, well capitalized and customer-service-oriented Bank of Choice for consumers and businesses, with an ongoing commitment to the betterment of communities in the region. The bank’s ownership, staff and banking procedures will remain unchanged.
